At the Sock Summit I took a workshop on sock embellishment. These socks are my first project with little tabs and dreadlocks. The remind me of sea creatures.

- In my day job, I'm a comparative immunologist at Washington State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, working on vaccine development for animals. I love the fiber arts but don't have much time to devote to them. I knit all the time, mostly socks, and really enjoy dyeing my own sock yarn. I live in Idaho with my husband of 42 years. I have two grown sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law, and two grandchildren.
